Halbmond: Rugs as a Design Element
A rug can transform a space: it defines zones, creates atmosphere and sets deliberate accents – as a connecting element between furniture, materials and architecture, or as a deliberately staged statement.
With its area rugs, Halbmond combines textile artistry with precise manufacturing. Shapes, colours and designs can be individually matched to the respective interior.
The hospitality sector in particular offers a wide range of possibilities for a consistent look throughout: in lobbies and lounges, rugs create inviting islands, while in suites and guest rooms they underline a sense of comfort and improve acoustics. In restaurants, bars or conference areas too, they can structure different zones of use and visually connect them. This is about more than aesthetics: combined with broadloom, carpet tiles or other flooring, the result is a coherent ambience that brings together comfort, function and design.
Whether understated colour schemes, expressive patterns, or colours and designs matched to corporate design: Halbmond offers a wide range of possibilities for individual solutions. One example is the Eleven Fifty collection, a tufted loop-pile quality made from 100 per cent polyamide with a distinctive high-low texture. The designs are applied using Chromojet digital printing. Ten designs are available in up to seven colourways. The rugs come in sizes 120 × 180, 160 × 240 and 190 × 285 cm.
Since 1880, Halbmond has combined textile expertise with technical development. In Oelsnitz, in Germany's Vogtland region, the company produces broadloom, carpet tiles and made-to-measure rugs for hotels, offices and other contract sectors – Made in Germany.
